BRETT HARRISON
LEAD PASTOR
Pastor Brett has been Lead Pastor since March of 2022. Prior to this, he served as Associate Pastor at Lawson Assembly for 6 years, and before that, he was a youth pastor in northwest Nebraska. Brett is so thankful to be able to come back to the church he grew up in since he was 5 years old. This is home in every since of the word.
Brett graduated from Evangel University in 2009 and continued his education by receiving his Master of Divinity from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in 2012. His greatest passion for the church is to teach the Bible and build Biblical literacy where people know God’s Word and allow God’s Word to bring real change in their lives.
Brett married his wife, Shelly, in 2018 and together they have 2 kids, Whitley and Zoey. They love spending time together as a family, especially if that involves walking a few holes of golf or eating Mexican food.
Brett is a passionate Royals, Chiefs and Jayhawks fan. Although recent years have been more kind, he knows the pain of loving a team that will let you down.
Pastor Josh has been the Worship and Youth Pastor at Lawson Assembly since 2016. Prior to this, he served as the Worship and Youth Pastor in Topeka, Kansas for 11 years.
Josh is working on his Masters of Divinity from Western Seminary. His greatest passion for the church is that our people know God’s Word and love God’s Word.
Josh and his high school sweetheart, Denise, have been married since 1999 and have 6 awesome kids! Perhaps from having 6 kids, Josh has a deep love of coffee. He also loves cheering on the OU Sooners and US Mens Soccer. Boomer Sooner!
JOSH VAUGHN
WORSHIP & YOUTH PASTOR
Hunter has been attending Lawson Assembly since 2021. During that time, Hunter has served in many different areas of the church, including the Production Team THRiVE Students and LA Kids.
With Hunter’s love for Jesus and desire to serve the church, he willingly stepped into an interim role as our Kid’s Leader in August of 2025. His heart is to show kids Jesus loves them, values them, and wants to use them - and Hunter shows that through biblical teaching in an incredibly fun and structured format.
Personally, Hunter is a nerd at heart. He loves board games, saying Settlers of Catan is his favorite; however, you should ask him about his actual favorite, as he said, “It is too nerdy to even mention.” Outside of board games, Hunter loves to paint and watch movies with his friends.
Hunter is a graduate from Lawson High School and is excited to serve Lawson Assembly in any way he can. Thanks, Hunter!

Brandi started working in the church office in August of 2025. Brandi is married to Daren, and they have 2 wonderful girls, Anna and Avery. Together, Brandi and Daren also run The Lambert Company, a construction business. Brandi’s experience makes her an incredible asset to our team.
