COMMUNITY GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE AND CHOIR
If you are interested in participating in the Good Friday Community Service Choir, practices will be Tuesday, March 9, Thursday, March 18 and 25, at 7:00 PM, at the Old Union Christian Union Church.  Everyone is welcome to participate.  The Good Friday service will be held on Friday, April 2, at 7:00 PM at the Old Union Church. Our own Pastor Josh will be the special speaker at the service.

SCRAPBOOKING NIGHT OUT
All those who love to scrapbook and need a night with the ladies are invited to gather together in the Fellowship Hall on Friday, March 12, from 6:00-10:00 PM.  Be sure to bring your supplies and a friend to join in on the fun.  For more information contact Michelle Miller.

YOUTH “HANG OUT” NIGHT & MINI-RETREAT
The UTX Youth Ministry is hosting a “hang out” night and mini-retreat on Friday and Saturday, March 12-13. The event is called “Battle Cry of a Generation” and will begin at 6:00 PM Friday, and end at 3:00 PM Saturday. The cost is $20 per person.  Bring a friend and bring your favorite gaming system/games as we hang out, play games, and “pig out” together for several hours Friday evening.  The boys will stay the night at the gym with Pastor Josh, and the girls will head over to the Brewer’s home with Rebecca.  Saturday’s activities include workshops, a service together, and awesome worship and prayer time, as we get closer to God and to one another!

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME
Don’t forget to set your clocks FORWARD one hour on Saturday evening, March 13.

MEN’S BREAKFAST AT CATRICK’S
There will be a Men's Breakfast on Saturday,  March 20, at 8:00 AM at Catrick’s (upstairs).  We will have breakfast, fellowship, and a Bible study.  We are kicking off our exciting study of Tony Dungy's book Dare to Be Uncommon:  Discovering How to Impact Your World Super Bowl-winning coach and #1 New York Times best selling author Tony Dungy has had an unusual opportunity to reflect on what it takes to achieve significance. His book reveals lessons on achieving significance that the coach has learned from his remarkable parents, his athletic and coaching career, his mentors, and his journey with God. A particular focus of the book: what it means to be a man of significance in a culture that is offering young men few positive role models.

Don't miss this exciting small group opportunity!  If you would like to order a book, contact the church office.

KIDS INVASION SERVICE
On Sunday, March 21, at 6:00 PM, the Kids’ Church will be “invading” the evening service. The kids will have a whole day of fun at the church for games, food, and rehearsal.  The kids will need to wear dark clothing and be to the church by 5:45 PM, if they opt not to stay all day.  If you have any questions or if your child will not be able to make it, please let Pat and Venita know.

VOLUNTEER PAINTERS NEEDED
With all our new construction projects going on, our workers are in need of a little extra help.  We can get some of the rooms finished up if we have several adults volunteer to paint as much or as little as their schedule will allow.  This would all be indoor painting and all supplies are provided, unless you have items you like to use.  See Pastor Roger or call the church office for more information.

LAWN MOWING MINISTRY
Spring is just around the corner, so that means it’s time to begin mowing the church lawn.  If you are willing to be on a lawn mowing team this summer, please sign up on the bulletin board in the foyer to join the LAG Lawn Mowing Ministry today! Our goal is to get 40-50 volunteers, so that each team will have to mow only once every 8 weeks.

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A CHURCH MEMBER?
If you have been considering church membership here at Lawson Assembly, Pastor will be teaching a class soon.  Please indicate your interest on a blue Care Card in front of your pew and place it in the offering plate when it comes by, or see Pastor Roger after the service.

OUR CUPBOARDS ARE LOW
We have had several needy folks come by recently to pick up Food Pantry items, so our cupboards in the Food Pantry closet are low. Donations of any non-perishable food items would be appreciated. Place them in the white chest just outside the church kitchen.  Thank you for helping us minister to our community!
